For teams and workshop hosts
What your people do, what you see, what it costs
Only what exists today. What does not exist yet is listed at the end of this page.
What your people leave with
One course today, Testus Patronus: each person builds a RAG assistant on 23 public Jira issues in a private lab, then tests where it fails. Six exercises, about 2 h 30 min, in a browser.
What the host sees
The backstage is a second application for the people who run a session: a room per conference with an attendee code and a seat limit, and every lab with its state, time left and the learner’s pseudonym.
Today the backstage is operated by Testing Fantasy: we set up your room and run it with you. Host accounts for other organisations do not exist yet.

A workshop, step by step
- 01
A room is created in the backstage for one tutorial and a time window, with a seat limit.
- 02
The attendee code goes on the projector.
- 03
Attendees sign in and type the code.
- 04
Each presses Begin quest and gets a private lab, built while the first lesson is read.
- 05
The host watches the labs: starting, running, ended, anything stuck first.
- 06
Labs end when closed or at their time limit, and the machines are destroyed.
Cost control
A forgotten lab cannot run up a bill: every limit below is enforced by the platform, not by a reminder.
- 4 hmaximum per labA lab ends at four hours, whatever state it is in.
- 15 minwarning before the endThe learner is told in time to save what matters.
- 30 minunused and never opened: releasedA lab nobody opened does not keep a machine running.
- 1lab open per tutorial at a timeOne learner cannot multiply machines by accident.
The backstage cost page shows a monthly ceiling as an estimate. Spend against it is not shown yet.
Why it is different
Not a video course. Not an empty sandbox.
| Video-course platforms | Generic cloud sandboxes | Testing Fantasy Cloud | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you practise on | Usually a recording, sometimes a quiz | A blank machine or console | The real tool, installed and configured for the exercise |
| Set-up | Your own laptop and accounts | You build the stack yourself | None. Built for you in minutes |
| Guidance | Video, away from the tool | Usually none | The lesson sits beside the lab, exercise by exercise |
| Cost control | Not applicable | Your card, your risk | Time and spend limits are part of the platform |
| Progress | Videos watched | None | A stored figure and badges per quest |
